Lego Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight: Traversal Trial Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide
Traversal Trials in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight are the most demanding of the three AR Trial categories — rooftop movement challenges testing grappling, gliding, and spatial navigation rather than combat speed or driving ability.
Unlike Combat Trials and Driving Trials where only the Gold threshold varies between locations, Traversal Trials have both Gold and Silver times varying by district — making them the most punishing of the three for players targeting Gold across the board.
Tricorner holds two trials — the only district besides East End to host more than one. All locations are included on our complete LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight interactive maps.
Traversal Trial Rewards: Same Tiers, Different Thresholds
All Traversal Trials pay the same medal amounts as Combat and Driving Trials:
- Gold — 10,000 Studs (threshold varies — see below)
- Silver — 5,000 Studs (threshold also varies — unlike Driving Trials)
- Bronze — 3,000 Studs (always 5:00)

- Old Gotham West — Gold: 0:50 · Silver: 1:30 (tightest Gold of any AR Trial in the game)
- Tricorner #2 — Gold: 0:55 · Silver: 1:30
- The Cauldron South — Gold: 1:00 · Silver: 1:30
- Tricorner #1 — Gold: 1:10 · Silver: 2:00
- Old Gotham North — Gold: 1:10 · Silver: 2:00
- Old Gotham South — Gold: 1:20 · Silver: 2:00
- East End — Amusement Mile — Gold: 1:15 · Silver: 2:00
Why the Sub-Minute Trials Are So Hard
Old Gotham West's 0:50 Gold is the tightest time requirement of any AR Trial in the game — tighter than the most demanding Combat Trial (1:10) or Driving Trial (1:00).
The rooftop course beside the gas station involves a compressed loop of grapple points and glide drops with minimal room for momentum error.
The 0:55 Gold on Tricorner #2 (by the large pipe on the northwestern rooftop) similarly demands near-perfect routing from the first grapple.
Both courses benefit from understanding the full route before attempting Gold — one or two Bronze/Silver runs to memorise the checkpoint sequence before a committed Gold attempt is the standard approach.
Three Achievements Tie Across All AR Trials
- "Up for the Challenge" — complete 20 of the total AR Trials (any mix of Combat, Driving, and Traversal). All 7+ confirmed Traversal Trials count toward this threshold.
- "Wouldn't wanna make things too easy." — earn 5 Gold Medals across any AR Trials. East End (Gold: 1:15) and Old Gotham South (Gold: 1:20) are the two most forgiving Traversal Gold targets as entry points.
- "Rebuilding Gotham" — cash in any trial reward at the Batcave. Completing one Traversal Trial of any medal tier satisfies this immediately.
